It doens't really look like a jiang shi to me though. Where is the Qing Dynasty gown and irritatingly authentic Australian accent?
But still, man, I like the graphics.

Jiang shi have elaborately decorated Qing dynasty official gowns. There are some great media that you might want to draw inspiration from, such as the old Hong Kong movie about jiang shi called Mr. Vampire. :D

That's cool, but if I remember correctly the client wanted rotten old clothing/armour with no specifics.. but, it was back in 2007 so I'm not surprised that I can't remember exactly... but you know, I just do what the client asks :)

interesting .i do not know what jiangshi is called in English.jianshi in China can not walk ,but they can jump .they like drinking blood.they are hard as steel.guns are not able to shoot them down.fu can stop them moving and atacking .only fire can kill them .if you hold your breath, they can't find your position .

Ahh that's interesting, I can't remember which country's legend this was based on. It was definitely eastern, but not China. I'll have to dig up my old notes to find out.
I know the description was definitely different from what you've given me there.

Thanks John, I appreciate the kind words matey :)
The undead book is a bit special, I was surprised I was asked to get involved in that book considering the titanic artists that are in it.

This is still one of my all time favorites. Can't really explain it; know it's older and you've done more complicatedaccomplishedyadayadayada since then, but still a favorite.

Interesting!
This was a turning point painting for me, and I think that was around when you first appeared on rpgnet.. or near enough. Maybe you spotted the change too. Well whatever the case this one has a little place in my withered heart, thanks Michael :)
Oh and I can't say I've done more complicated stuff since.. oh no, I try n keep things simple and easier!
